The Kokopelli is a hunch-backed flute player.  The Kokopelli symbol has been around for over a thousand years among various American Indian tribes, including the Navajo, Anasazi, Hopi and Zuni.  It is probably the most prevalent figure found in petroglyphs.  It is believed variously to be a symbol of fertility, growth and a bountiful harvest, but has come to mean prosperity to many Americans.  Kokopelli presides over both childbirth and agriculture.  It is also believed that he was thought of as a trickster god, traveling trader, insect, wandering musician, rain priest, warrior and hunting magician.
