Make an elegant statement when you wear these one-of-a-kind hand-crafted mosaic earrings from David Lucero, born, raised and still living on the Santo Domingo Pueblo near Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA. Each slab of stone in these Native American-made earrings was individually hand-cut and inlaid over a backing of solid slab of color-treated, gold vein howlite turquoise. The stones used on the front side included genuine turquoise, blue and white agate, red jasper, yellow jasper, jet and white howlite (also called White Buffalo Turquoise by some Native American Indians). These striking "made in USA" earrings measure 7/8" wide, over 3/16th" of an inch thick (the back alone is 1/8" inch plus the 1/16" overlay of mosaic stones) and 2" long on their own--3" with the silver "fish hook" loops and weigh about 3/10ths of an ounce each.
Each handcrafted jewelry item from David Lucero (yes, father of Victoria Lucero, whose jewelry I also market) comes with this Info Card:
With the permission and blessing of the artisan, I am proud to say that this jewelry is "Native American crafted: This jewelry piece was hand-crafted by David Lucero, a full blood Native American Indian from Santo Domingo Pueblo, New Mexico. Found at Best of New Mexico Online (www.new-mexico-online.com) located in the hot springs town of Truth or Consequences." Enjoy!
Each of the stones used in crafting these unique earrings has its own properties, but howlite is the most prevalent stone (backs and the white stone of the fronts) and it seems as though it is universally considered to be a calming stone.

These earrings would make an excellent gift for the person who appreciates southwestern Native American jewelry and likes to wear a slightly larger earring but not one that hands down onto the neck. While it is an earring that will capture attention, they are also light enough to wear without discomfort. And with six different colors, they will coordinate with just about any attire! Very reasonably priced for the hours of work that went into them by this hard-working 100% "Pueblo Indian" (that's what he calls himself)! Just let us know in the "notes" section when ordering these if you would like us to package them in a cotton-padded foil gift box. Although I would never ask him, I estimate David to be in his 60's. I have been purchasing unique jewelry directly from David Lucero and his wife Angel on a discretionary basis since about 2009.
